Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that the behavior of some MLAs in the assembly sessions is not good and it is the responsibility of the in-charge ministers to restrain them inside and outside the assembly. After the cabinet meeting, the CM spoke to the ministers on various issues and directed the in-charge ministers on the behavior of some MLAs in the recent assembly sessions.
“The in-charge ministers should control the MLAs under their jurisdiction. They should be informed of the wrongdoings they are doing and asked to correct them. If they still do not listen, then they should bring it to my attention. The in-charge ministers should take responsibility for all this,” the CM commented.
He deplored that some MLAs crossed the line set by the party in the assembly sessions, either intentionally or for some other reason, and asked the in-charge ministers to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. He suggested that the MLAs should be told what to say and what not to say during the assembly. The in-charge ministers should talk to the MLAs under their jurisdiction frequently, coordinate politically and guide them in the right direction, he added.
CM Chandrababu asked the ministers to work without giving any opportunity to any criticism from the department and to respond immediately if any criticism is received. He said that if there is any negligence in this matter, everyone will lose. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister expressed his happiness that for the first time in history, all the reservoirs across the state have been filled with water to 93 percent of their capacity.
He said that water security is one of the 10 main principles set as part of Vision 2047, and this is a key development in taking steps in that direction. He congratulated Irrigation Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu and the officials on this occasion. The CM opined that the Concessionary Hybrid Annuity Mode (CHAM) being implemented by the Municipal and Urban Development Department is good.
He said that all the development works being done under that department are being done under this system, and as a result, the financial burden on the department has reduced. At the same time, he said, it will be easier to get more funds from the Center and other agencies. The CM asked them to consider implementing this system for development works in their respective departments.
