CM Chandrababu Asks A special Advisory council For Good Governance

Monday, April 28, 2025

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to set up a special advisory council to provide good governance in the state. He said that 10 experts from the Gates Foundation, Madras IIT and other prestigious institutions should be appointed as members. He said that this advisory council should study and make suggestions on what else can be done to provide good governance to the people.

The Chief Minister conducted a review on RGGS at the Secretariat and said that steps should be taken to provide any government services to the people through online, digital, WhatsApp governance and other technological means. He said that awareness should be created so that people can get services using Manamitra WhatsApp governance through cell phones.

Similarly, he said that this should be expanded further. The CM clarified that all the services that the government can provide in digital form should be brought under the purview of WhatsApp governance by June 12. Accordingly, Chandrababu ordered the officials to complete the data connection process in RTGS at the earliest.

In this regard, IT and RTGS Secretary Katanneni Bhaskar explained to the Chief Minister that up to 500 services can be provided through WhatsApp. However, he said that currently 254 services have been brought under the purview of WhatsApp governance.

However, he said that they are working with the aim of providing more than 1000 services. Officials explained to Chandrababu that work is underway to prepare a master plan for the establishment of Drone City in Orvakallu. The Chief Minister said that Drone City will be a major attraction for the state.

Apart from this, he said that there are more tourist areas such as the largest solar project in the surrounding areas of Orvakallu. The CM advised the officials to take steps to construct modern hotels in collaboration with the Tourism Development Authority to develop the hospitality sector here.
