The much-anticipated socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, starring Chiranjeevi and directed by Vashisth, has been the center of attention, particularly following the release of its teaser. The film, which has sparked considerable excitement among Chiranjeevi’s fans and movie enthusiasts, was recently met with comparisons to James Cameron’s Avatar, specifically regarding the design of certain costumes and the character’s ears. In a recent interview, the director addressed these comparisons, clarifying that the design choices were inspired by traditional Indian mythology and not Avatar.

The director explained that the costume and ear designs seen in the teaser were influenced by Indian folklore, particularly from the Chandamama stories, and not Avatar. He emphasized that elements such as the mountainous visuals and the character designs had been seen in many films long before Avatar. Drawing inspiration from Chandamama’s Jwalamukhi Deepam series, the director expressed his pleasure in seeing Indian mythology influence his work and welcomed acknowledgment of that inspiration instead of the Avatar comparison.

Regarding the film’s cast, the director confirmed that Vishwambhara features Trisha as the main heroine, with Ashika in a secondary lead role. The film will also feature other actresses in supporting roles, promising a fresh and dynamic look on screen. The film’s release has been delayed due to extensive VFX work, but the director assured that the unique collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi would result in two distinct films. With shooting completed, the official release date of Vishwambhara will be announced soon.
