Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently awaiting the release of his forthcoming film Bholaa Shankar which is getting ready to hit the screens next Friday. As reported earlier, Chiru will quickly move on to his next project which is expected to commence its regular shooting shortly. The formal launch will take place on the 22nd on the eve of his birthday. Kalyan Krishna of Banggaraju fame will wield the megaphone and Chiru’s elder daughter Sushmita Konidela will pool the money bags for this film.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that this untitled film is a remake of the Malayalam drama ‘Bro Daddy’, a light-hearted comedy involving two families. Mohan Lal and Prithviraj Sukumaran played the lead characters in this film. There are reports that Chiranjeevi and Sharwanand will reprise their roles in Telugu. Trisha Krishnan and Sree Leela are also on board for this film.
However, the makers are strongly condemning the ongoing rumours. The director and his assistants are said to be working on a fresh script that is not fully but loosely inspired by Bro Daddy. It is heard that they are giving a new spin to all characters in an attempt to give a whole new experience to moviegoers.
Mega fans are unhappy as Chiru is dabbling with remakes too often. So, this might have prompted Chiru to advise the director to rework on the script and the main characters. A clear picture about this interesting project will emerge once it is launched.
