Megastar Chiranjeevi met Indian Army officer Major Malla Rangopal Naidu, who was conferred the prestigious Kirti Chakra for his exceptional acts of bravery, and expressed his admiration for the young officer.
Sharing photos from their recent meeting on his X account on Tuesday, Chiranjeevi lauded the soldier’s courage and posted an emotional note. “It was an absolute delight to meet Major Malla Rangopal Naidu, who displayed extraordinary valour in August 2023 and was honoured with the Kirti Chakra. The bravery he showed at such a young age will serve as an inspiration for generations to come,” he wrote.
The actor further said he was deeply moved to know that the courageous officer is also a fan of his. “What touched me the most was learning that this brave soldier, who stood for the nation, holds me close to his heart as a fan. I am grateful for his warmth and cherish these sweet memories. I pray to God to bless him and his family always,” he added.
Chiranjeevi’s Upcoming Film Progressing at a Brisk Pace
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is currently filming the high-budget commercial entertainer Man Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The shoot is progressing rapidly. A special song featuring Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara was recently filmed, with music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo and choreography by Vijay Polanki.
The film is being jointly produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, under the banner of producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela. This marks the third collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and GodFather. The makers are planning to release the film during the Sankranti festive season in 2026.
