Chiranjeevi looking for masala entertainers

Ever since he made a comeback to the silver screen in 2017 after a long hiatus of 8 years due to his brief political stint, Megastar Chiranjeevi managed to entertain moviegoers like never before with his onscreen antics and mannerisms. Except for Acharya, all other films he did after his return managed to cut the mustard. His recent offering Waltair Veerayya emerged as the career biggest hit for Chiru. Entertainment is the key takeaway for Waltair Veerayya which turned out to be the selling point at the box office.

Now, Chiru feels that he needs to do more such entertainers instead of experimenting with novel stories. Currently busy with Meher Ramesh’s commercial potboiler Bhola Shankar, which is slated for release on August 11th, Chiru is yet to finalize his next project. But, the industry is buzzing with the news that Chiru evinced interest to work with happening directors like Vasishtha Mallidi of Bimbisara fame and Kalyana Krishna who delivered rustic hits like Soggade Chinni Nayana and Banggaraju.

Sources close to Chiru revealed that he is looking for masala entertainers laced with commercial elements like comedy, action, drama, and entertainment. Irrespective of the genre, Chiru wants directors to present him in hilarious roles as audiences are lapping up such characters big time.

Chiru is likely to approve both Vasishtha Mallidi and Kalyana Krishna for his next two films. Both these talented directors are currently fine-tuning the scripts to give final narration to Chiru very soon.
