Yesterday the megastar of Tollywood celebrated his birthday and announced two of his upcoming films 156 and 157 in a row. However, project 156 has been undergoing some changes for obvious reasons.
Chiranjeevi’s latest outing ‘Bhola Shankar’ bombed miserably at the box office and everyone trolled Chiru for opting for a remake despite the fact that blockbusters like ‘Tagore’, ‘Shankardada MBBS’, ‘Khaidi No:150’ and many were remakes. However, many are only blaming Chiru for giving a chance to Meher Ramesh but the hatred transferred to the fact that the matinee idol is doing remakes but not straight films. The result of ‘Bhola Shankar’ made the makers of 156 change plans initially the team wanted to remake ‘Bro Daddy’ with the director Kalyan Krishna and the latter had already started preparing the script. The flop show of ‘Bhola Shankar’ made the makers completely scrape off the remake idea and asked the director Kalyan Krishna to prepare his own script to shoot a straight Telugu movie.
Mega156 is produced by Chiru’s eldest daughter Sushmitha Konidela under her home banner ‘Gold Box Entertainments. His 157th movie is directed by the ‘Bimbisara’ maker Vasistha and produced by UV Creations house. This will be a socio-fantasy thriller along the lines of ‘Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari’.
