Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP chief and former Chief Minister, expressed his delight at the significant turnout of Telugu people from neighboring states and even abroad to cast their votes on Monday.
After casting his vote at the Undavalli polling booth alongside his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, he shared with the media his astonishment at witnessing such a large influx of Telugu individuals returning to their native places solely to participate in the electoral process. Naidu remarked that in his 45 years of political career, he had never witnessed such a remarkable display of commitment from Telugu people residing elsewhere.
He interpreted this surge in participation as indicative of a widespread desire for change within the state, with people passionately seeking to steer it towards development. Chandrababu emphasized that this sentiment underscored the feeling of disillusionment and betrayal experienced by various sections of society over the past five years.
Furthermore, Naidu highlighted the substantial turnout of Telugu voters from cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru, who were actively engaging in the democratic process in Andhra Pradesh. He also noted the unprecedented participation of Telugu expatriates from other countries, marking a significant moment in electoral history.
