Tirupati: On Monday, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu visited Chandragiri TDP in-charge Pulivarthi Nani, who fell ill during a protest at Tirupati rural RDO office demanding the removal of bogus votes. Chandrababu inquired about Nani’s health. Subsequently, Chandrababu addressed the media, expressing concern about the inclusion of thousands of bogus votes in Chandragiri, Tirupati, Peeleru, Srikalahasti, and Satyavedu. He stated that the Election Commission of India (ECI) expressed anger towards the Tirupati district collector regarding the irregularities in elections.
Chandrababu highlighted instances of changed polling booths and individuals with votes in multiple places, suggesting the possibility of officials facing legal consequences for irregularities. Emphasizing the TDP’s commitment to safeguarding democracy, Chandrababu decried unprecedented levels of money power, land grabbing, and looting in the district. He accused the ruling party of attempting to deceive the public by distributing looted money, vowing to resist such actions. Chandrababu issued a warning to authorities, urging them to uphold the law, as any violation would not be tolerated.
