All of the residents of the flooded mandals gave their lives in sacrifice for the Polavaram project, according to TDP Chief Chandrababu. Speaking to the crowd at one of the gatherings, the former chief minister assured the residents that the TDP will announce, after taking office, that all the flooded mandals would be amalgamated to form the “Polavaram” district. TDP Chief has criticized the current YSRCP government for doing injustice to the people of Polavaram affected by the Godavari floods, recalling his battle to restore seven mandals of Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh state before forming his government.
