Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has cautioned the ministers that the honeymoon period is over and they should focus on departmental issues. After the cabinet meeting, the CM gave directions to the ministers in a discussion on political issues. He suggested that they should spread awareness about the development work being done in the state and take it to the people.

The CM advised the ministers not to blindly believe everything that the officials say and to know the facts of what is happening in the department, before making any public statements.  He directed them that the information given by the officials should be evaluated based on the actual situation and speak.

Recently, he deplored that one or two ministers were cited as having made public statements blindly without correcting the mistakes given by the officials. During the discussion at the cabinet meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made it clear that local talent should be promoted in tourism and sports policies.

Minister Nara Lokesh said that steps have already been taken to promote local talent in sports in various schools. Lokesh said that training will be provided to increase incentives for diverse talents. Pawan suggested that the tourism sector should be further developed to enhance our culture and traditions.

They discussed the need for tourism development to provide employment opportunities. Pawan suggested that industries that have taken the SIPB decision should be started. The cabinet meeting decided to take strict action on the lines of the PD Act against ration rice smugglers.

Referring to the ongoing assembly session, Chandrababu Naidu expressed satisfaction that the assembly meetings were going on meaningfully, discussions on key issues related to the people were going on well, and members were participating enthusiastically. The CM asked to ensure that the meetings were held successfully for the remaining two days as well.

Meanwhile, the cabinet decided to postpone Municipal and Panchayat Raj Act Amendment Bills, which were drafted to reduce the no-confidence motion against those holding positions like mayor, chairman, and ZP chairman in local bodies to two and a half years from the date of their election. They will be discussed in detail and a decision will be taken in the next meetings.
