Chaitu and his director kick start recce

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is very determined to make a strong comeback after scoring back-to-back debacles with his last couple of outings. He is taking his own time to kick start the next project that is going to be helmed by his Premam and Savyasachi director Chandoo Mondeti who scored the biggest blockbuster with Karthikeya-2.

Reports suggest that the duo is going to work on a period drama in which Chaitu plays a fisherman. Tandel is the tentative title that is being considered for this film and Chaitu is going to speak coastal Andhra slang in this film and he is said to be taking special classes for this character.

As the story is inspired by a real-life character, Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti have started an extensive recce before commencing the regular shooting. The duo is currently stationed in Vizag and will meet a few fishermen in the next few days to know more about their lifestyle and the challenges they face in their daily lives.

Geetha Arts banner is going to bankroll the film and the regular shooting will commence in October. AR Rahman will compose the tunes and Keerthi Suresh is expected to play the leading lady in this film.
