CBI arrests BRS MLC Kavitha in Delhi Liquor scam case

Hyderabad: Today, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla in connection with the Delhi liquor case. Currently, she is held under judicial custody in Tihar Jail as part of an Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation. Previously, the ED had detained her for questioning. The CBI intends to interview her within Tihar Jail.

Last year, the CBI had conducted an interrogation at her Hyderabad residence. Following obtaining permission from the Rouse Avenue Court, the agency apprehended her again today. The CBI is contemplating seeking a ten-day custody of Kavitha. Meanwhile, Kavitha is scheduled to appear in court on the 16th of this month for a regular bail hearing.
