Hyderabad: The Nampally court has mandated the filing of a case against the family of Tollywood actor Daggubati Venkatesh, including Daggubati Suresh Babu, Rana, and Abhiram. This directive from the court comes in response to a petition filed by Nandakumar, who alleges that the Deccan Kitchen Hotel in Filmnagar, Hyderabad, owned by the Daggubati family, was unlawfully demolished against existing court orders.
Nandakumar’s complaint outlines that the demolition of the hotel, valued at crores of rupees, occurred in violation of court orders related to the lease. He contends that Venkatesh, Suresh Babu, Rana, and Abhiram collaborated with GHMC officials and the police to execute the unauthorized demolition.
Nandakumar stated in the petition, “Approximately 60 private bouncers were involved in vandalizing the property, and valuable furniture was taken away during the process, resulting in a loss estimated at Rs 20 crores.” Responding to Nandakumar’s plea, the Nampally court has instructed the initiation of a case against the Daggubati family members, invoking sections 448, 452, 380, 506, and 120b of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
