Can Vijay and Parasuram repeat magic without Rashmika?

Tollywood heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda scored a huge blockbuster in 2018 with the fun-filled family entertainer ‘Geetha Govindham’. Director Parasuram penned impressive characters for Vijay and Rashmika in this film and the commendable performances by both of them turned out to be the ultimate selling point for the film.

Rashmika bagged brownie points for her flawless acting as a strong and obstinate girl. The way Rashmika pulled off all those scenes in which she finds fault with Vijay’s foibles throughout the film received huge applause from all quarters. She turned out to be one of the biggest assets for Geetha Govindham.

On the eve of completing five years since its release, Vijay, Rashmika and Parasuram extended their warm wishes to the audience. The trio posted an adorable picture on this occasion.

Parasuram promised to repeat the magic with his upcoming film Family Star which has Vijay Devarakonda in the lead role. Surprisingly, he roped in Mrunal Thakur as the leading lady.

Reports suggest that Parasuram is bringing another full-length comedy caper laced with family emotions. It remains to be seen if he and Vijay can pull off a similar feat without Rashmika. Mrunal Thakur impressed moviegoers with her glamourous screen presence in Sita Ramam. So, it would be interesting to see if she can come up with a similar act to Rashmika in Geetha Govindham.

Family Star is coming from the stables of Dil Raju. The film is slated for release in January.
