Former BRS minister and Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy lamented that the report given by the PC Ghosh Commission on the Kaleshwaram project as a political commission report concocted by Revanth Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu and BJP. He dismissed that the commission report is trash and cannot be withstand before the courts.
He wondered how PCC President Mahesh Kumar had previously said what was in it when the report was in a sealed cover? He alleged that it is clear that the inquiry commission did not give its report based on facts but on the allegations of Congress and BJP leaders.
Prasanth Reddy recalled that KCR and Harish Rao, who are facing allegations in the report under Section-8B of the Commission of Inquiries Act 1952, did not seek an explanation, making it clear that it is against the principles of natural law. He accused Telangana CM Revanth Reddy of spreading misinformation about Kaleshwaram just to give alms to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu by stealing Godavari water for farming.
He asked if two pillars of a barrage in the Kaleshwaram project collapse, how can they blame the entire project for being washed away? He accused them of making a big fuss about corruption. “The Medigadda barrage has stood tall even after withstanding a flood of 5 lakh cusecs, let us see if we want to,” they challenged.
Prasanth Reddy criticized the Congress government’s incompetence and said that public money is being misused. He advised that Congress leaders who have repeatedly questioned why the project was shifted to Medigadda instead of being built at Tammidihati, should know the CWCRS report.
Did all the permissions come for this project, which was started by the then Congress rulers in 2007? If not, why didn’t it come? If all the permissions were there, why couldn’t it be built? He asked that when from 2007 to 2014, only Congress governments were in power in the united Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and at the Center, why were they unable to get permissions?
