BRS working president KTR responded to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s question about the significance of BRS winning 16 Lok Sabha seats. KTR pointed out that the TDP, with 16 seats, had managed to stop the privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel and argued that BRS could have had a decisive influence at the Centre if it had won those seats. Instead, the BJP and Congress each hold 8 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
KTR also criticized Revanth Reddy’s inconsistent stance on coal mine auctions. While Revanth Reddy, as PCC president, had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to auction coal mines, he later seemed to support Kishan Reddy’s suggestion that Singareni participate in the auction. KTR demanded that the mines be allotted to Singareni without an auction, citing precedents in Odisha and Gujarat.
