BRS Leader Praveen Kumar Criticizes Congress Government Over Education Sector

Friday, December 5, 2025
BRS leader R.S. Praveen Kumar has sharply criticized the Congress government for allegedly ruining the education sector in Telangana. He specifically targeted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, claiming that the CM has no understanding of the education system and its challenges.
Praveen Kumar drew attention to the contrast between the current and previous administrations, stating that during KCR’s tenure, Gurukuls saw high competition for limited seats, with three candidates vying for each spot. However, he noted that under Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the situation had drastically worsened, citing that only a fraction of students applied for the 40,000 available seats for the 5th-grade entrance exam.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, Praveen Kumar highlighted the success of KCR’s talent schools, which had produced numerous engineers and doctors. He alleged that under Revanth’s leadership, these schools were being targeted for closure. The BRS leader also criticized the government’s failure to cover medical college fees for SC students.
Praveen Kumar further raised concerns about Nandini, a Rajaka community student who won a gold medal in badminton at the National Games, questioning whether her lack of recognition by the government was due to her BC status. He demanded the government immediately reward her with one crore rupees for her achievement.
Additionally, Praveen Kumar condemned the police for questioning two students for food poisoning in a Gurukul school in Nagar Kurnool district, accusing the authorities of questioning them for two hours. He questioned the appropriateness of detaining students at a police station instead of focusing on their education.
