Botsa Acquired 30 Acres, But Even After Two Years Nominal price Not paid, No Attempt To start Industry

It has been two years since 30 acres were acquired within a month, saying that they would set up an industry, but so far they have not even made any attempt to set up an industry, even the nominal price was paid.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s senior colleague in the cabinet and a key leader in North Andhra, Botsa Satyanarayana, was given 30 acres in the Bobbili Growth Center of Vizianagaram district at a price of just Rs. 10 lakh per acre by the then government under the guise of promoting industries. According to APIIC calculations, its value is 24.58 crores. According to the open market, the value of that land is now Rs. 45 crores.

Even after doing this for two years, the Botsa family has not even laid the foundation stone. His brothers Botsa Satish Kumar and Botsa Adinarayana have filed an application with the government with the company Satya Biofuels Private Limited, of which they are directors, to set up an ethanol biofuel plant with an investment of Rs. 235 crore and provide employment to 200 people.

A GO was issued on July 21, 2023, stating that the land would be leased for 33 years. Later, another GO was issued on November 6, stating that the land would be sold to the company with full rights. According to the rules, the company had to pay the entire land price within 90 days of the allotment of land.

But Satya Biofuels paid only Rs. 29.99 lakh. It sought an extension of the 90-day period. Even though that period ended on February 4, 2024, it has been a year and a half. The company has not responded even though APIIC has issued notices to pay Rs. 3.04 crore including interest, GST and road premium charges.

According to the rules, if the money is not paid within the deadline, the allocations can be canceled. However, there are criticisms that the coalition government is counting on Pisces. Even though the land allocation to the Botsa family was done haphazardly, questions are being asked why the land is not being taken back even though the money was not paid to that extent and the industry was not established?
