Sometime back Bollywood media was abuzz with the news that top-tier Hindi director Raj Kumar Hirani, who is credited with blockbuster hits like PK, 3 Idiots and Munnabhai, is planning to join hands with Tollywood superstar Ram Charan for a pan-India film.
This news created quite a stir all over because Charan became the cynosure of North audiences with the humongous success of Rajamouli’s RRR and Hirani is a director with an enviable success streak in Bollywood. However, there is no concrete development about this buzz.
For the first time, Hirani opened up about this news. He simply dismissed it as a rumour and added that he never met Charan till now. During an online interview with a news portal, Hirani acknowledged that he also heard about the news and clarified there are no such plans.
Hirani said he knew Ram Charan and would definitely love to work with him.
Meanwhile, Hirani’s latest offering Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is running in theatres with decent revenues. Dunki released on December 21st and received mixed reports.
