A legal complaint has been filed against Kompella Madhavilatha, the BJP candidate running for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, for breaching the model code of conduct. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Malakpet police station. Madhavilatha reportedly entered a polling booth and demanded that women wearing burqas remove their veils so she could verify their identification. This action led to accusations of misconduct against her, prompting the authorities to initiate legal proceedings.
During her visit to the polling booth, Madhavilatha requested identification from female voters present. Some were specifically instructed to unveil. Additionally, she voiced allegations regarding the deletion of votes belonging to Hindus within the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. Madhavilatha emphasized the necessity of proper ID verification before allowing individuals to vote.
