BJP MP M. Raghunandan Rao demanded that the Chief Minister Revanth government should also carry out the special comprehensive revision of the voters’ list carried out in Bihar in Telangana also. He was furious that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that there are fraudulent votes, but he is the one opposing the special comprehensive revision.
He sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi should tell him how to eliminate such votes?. Raghunandan Rao suggested that the state government should carry out a special comprehensive revision in Telangana before the local body elections. He clarified that they do not need to do politics with fraudulent votes, which is why they are carrying out the special comprehensive revision (SIR).
He also expressed anger that even the leaders responsible for vote theft are talking without the slightest responsibility. He said that he will give a small example on the issue of why a special comprehensive revision is needed. He said that a small mistake was made in Ailapur in Patancheruvu of the joint Medak district.
He reminded that before the parliamentary elections, the final list of voters was released. In that order, more than 700 fake votes were received in Ailapur. He said that a complaint was also filed with the District Electoral Officer about this. Later, he said that the former Sarpanch of the village had complained to the District Collector. But he said that no action was taken.
He explained that after that, he also complained to the MRO. When he also did not take action, he said he complained to the then CEO of the Election Commission, Vikas Raj. He said that door numbers have also been assigned to the crematorium and the school. He said that now the numbers of polling stations have been changed. The number of polling stations has been increased from two to four.
Raghunadan Rao said that if any officials come to Ailapur once they will understand the situation there. He felt that the voters’ list should be reviewed once and revised. He said that the Congress party is in power in Telangana and that he is demanding that the party’s top leader Rahul Gandhi undertake a special comprehensive revision of the voter list here. That is why the central government will carry out a special comprehensive revision, he added.
He expressed doubts that if this has happened in just one small village, how many more fraudulent votes will there be in the country. He said that a revision should be made on the votes that increased before the 2024 parliamentary elections. He sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi shouted so much by showing two votes. Since he is speaking with the evidence of so many votes, he demanded that the government respond immediately.
