Bholaa Shankar Trailer: A Commerical Package

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan unveiled the theatrical trailer of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film ‘Bholaa Shankar’ and it promises a typical commercial potboiler with all ingredients.

Playing out at just over two minutes, the trailer is packed with formulaic elements like entertainment, drama, emotion and action. Chiru is at his energetic best in comedy scenes and fight sequences. He plays a full-length mass role after a long time and his humor-laced dialogues and over-the-top mannerisms will appeal to the target audience. He mimics Pawan Kalyan and also draws comparisons with Ram Charan.

The trailer starts with a critical situation in Kolkata where numerous girls go missing. As the police department is also helpless, the onus is on Chiranjeevi who is the go-to man to resolve such issues. He makes a dynamic entry and challenges the opponents. There are a spate of comedians to tickle the funny bone of moviegoers with their histrionics. Tamannaah is a gorgeous lawyer and reveals her comic side. Keerthi Suresh also gets a meaty character in the film as Chiru’s sister.

The trailer hints that Bholaa Shankar is going to be Chiru’sone-man show from the onset. Meher Ramesh taps into Chiru’s strengths and dishes out a masala fare. Though it seems to be a regular mass drama, there is a good dose of entertainment to keep the viewers interested.

There is nothing much to rave about Mahati Sagar’s background score. The camerawork appears adequate and the rich production values enhance the setting.

All in all, Bholaa Shankar is going to ride on Chiru’s charisma. Produced by AK Entertainments banner, the film is slated for release on August 11th.
