Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka expressed his anger that the previous government led by former CM KCR had incurred debts without any financial discipline. He questioned that the BRS government had spent a total of Rs. 16.70 lakh crores in the last 10 years and what had been built with that amount?

Speaking in the Legislative Assembly during the debate on the budget, he lashed out at the previous government’s governance. Was Nagarjuna Sagar built with Rs. 16.70 lakh crores? Was SRSP built? Was ORR built? Was the airport built?, he asked.

He ridiculed that Rs. 1 lakh crores were spent on Kaleshwaram alone, but it was collapsed. He said that Rs. 77,000 crores were owed to Singareni, and that in 10 years, had two-bedroom houses been built in any village? He said that the CAG itself revealed that Rs.2.30 lakh crores were spent without the approval of the Assembly.

“Rs.2.30 lakh crores were spent without the approval of the Legislative Assembly. The CAG itself revealed this. Debts were incurred without financial discipline. In the last 10 years, the BRS government spent a total of Rs.16.70 lakh crores. What did the BRS build that spent Rs.16.70 lakh crores?”, Vikramarka asked.

Bhatti alleged that the previous government never spent the funds completely, and despite setting a huge budget, the funds were not spent completely.
