New Delhi: The Government of India has honored former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, renowned as the architect of economic reforms, with the prestigious Bharat Ratna, the nation’s highest civilian award. Additionally, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh and M S Swaminathan, widely regarded as The Father of the Green Revolution, have also been bestowed with the Bharat Ratna.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this announcement via a digital platform. Earlier recipients of the Bharat Ratna include LK Advani and Karpoori Thakur. This year, a total of five individuals have been recognized with the Bharat Ratna, a testament to their exceptional contributions. The people of both Telugu states are elated by PV’s well-deserved recognition with the Bharat Ratna.
