Former YCP minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy’s harsh criticism against former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy accusing him of grabbing half of his properties is seen by many as his desperation for his inability to become MLC in recent polls.
Though he has been claiming that he had joined Jana Sena unconditionally, without expecting any position, it is an open secret that he was promised by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to get him MLC seat and also induct him into the state cabinet. Many felt that Jaya Mangala Venkata Ramana had resigned from YCP and also as MLC only to provide a vacancy for Balineni to elect in the subsequent by-election.
Moreover, Pawan Kalyan never asked for an MLC seat or cabinet berth for his brother Naga Babu, who was keen to become Rajya Sabha member. However, as there were severe discontent against Balineni among TDP cadre in Prakasam district and opposing him inducting into state cabinet, as a strategic step, Chandrababu Naidu on his own declared that Naga Babu would be inducted into the state cabinet.
But, Pawan Kalyan still last minute persuaded for his Rajya Sabha seat. If Naga Babu is inducted into the cabinet, Balineni realized that it would be impossible for him to join the cabinet. This seems to have landed him into severe desperation and in an attempt to please TDP leaders used very hard words on Jagan.
Meanwhile, Balineni’s harsh speech has led to severe criticism from YCP circles. YCP leaders in Prakasam district are furious, accusing him of being responsible for the humiliated defeat of the party in the recent polls in the joint Prakasam district. They are accusing him of joining Jana Sena only after demolishing the YCP in the district.
YCP leader and former DCC Bank chairman Dr. Madasu Venkaiah has accused him of corrupting the party by forming groups in Prakasam district. He said that he rose in politics through Jagan and is now making crazy statements. He said that after Balineni’s departure, the YSRCP has been liberated in the united Prakasam district.
He said that the party leaders have now gained freedom. He was angry that Balineni was never allowed the district leaders to meet Jaganmohan Reddy. He alleged that it is cruel that after enjoying power, after accumulating crores of rupees, he has now changed the party and cursed Jagan.
YSRCP Ongole city president Katari Shankar has warned that if he speaks again to discredit Jagan, he will not be tolerated. He challenged that we will see how Balineni wins in Ongole in the next elections.
YSRCP Ongole constituency in-charge Chunduri Ravibabu warned Balineni to keep quiet from making false and misleading statements about YS Jagan. He accused Balineni of being a TDP covert from the beginning and joined Jana Sena only after he was not accepted into TDP.
