After dabbling in slapstick comedies for most part of his career from the very beginning, Telugu star Allari Naresh changed his approach in the last few years when he started doing character-driven and intense dramas.
Despite occasionally switching back to the entertaining genre, Naresh appears to be firm on taking up meaty roles irrespective of the box office results. His upcoming film Bachhala Malli also falls in the same category.
A special teaser of Bachhala Malli was out this Sunday morning on the eve of Allari Naresh’s birthday and it promises a rustic entertainer with raw emotions. The one minute teaser has Naresh in a rugged look with uncouth mannerisms.
The teaser opens up with a scene in a village where an adage is heard through a loudspeaker when Naresh wakes from bed and comes out of his house. Visibly frustrated with the moral policing, Naresh pulls down the speaker and hits it to ground.
In the next scene, Naresh appears in a liquor belt shop where he punches a person with no mercy. He seems to be playing the character of an unrefined villager with no purpose.
Music by Vishal Chandrasekhar is appropriate to the mood and setting of the teaser. Director Subbu Mangadevvi seems to be presenting Naresh in a serious role in this rural drama.
Bachhala Malli has Amritha Aiyer as the female lead. Razesh Danda of Hasya Movies who produced hit films like Samajavaragamana and Ooru Peru Bhairavakona is bankrolling this masala entertainer.
