After the epic cinematic successes of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series which broke all box office records in 2015 and 2017, its audience has been wanting for the directors to indicate if there could be a third part sometime in future. Though Rajamouli has time and again dropped hints at newways on how he would want to go beyond the Baahubai story as understood by the audiences, there has not been an affirmation on if a third one is expected any time soon – that is until very recently.
Well top Kollywood producer Gnanavel Raja seems to have found greener pastures as he drums Baahubali 3 anew with fresh news. In a recent interview while on a promotional tour for his next film titled Kanguva which features Suriya, Gnanavel Raja claimed that there is an active talk related to making Baahubali 3. “I met the people who made Baahubali last week and they are already making the third part,” said Gnanavel Raja adding up that it is not just a rumor and the much awaited reassurance is indeed coming.
He has also pinpointed the kind of time consumed in such casting Labs comparing to the said statement; “Even Kalki 2 will come out only after two more movies in between, that is the case with Salaar 2 as well.” Of importance, the social media meme guru, Gnanavel Raja in earlier times played the Tamil versions of both Baahubali 1 and 2, hence lending weight to his argument.
The moment these statements were made, a wave of thrill began to build up across the platforms with both looking forward to the idea of returning to the great Baahubali stage. The Baahubali franchise having already been tarred as a ‘cultural and cinematic legacy’, the anticipation for the third installment is through the roof. And while the two are yet to officially detail the program, news of Gnanavel Raja’s affirmation has once again piled lust for one of the most sought-after movie franchises in the nation.
