The known Bollywood filmmaker Ayan Mukerji who delivered the biggest blockbuster Brahmastra last year has finally announced the sequel to this fantasy action adventure drama.
Earlier today, the talented filmmaker took to his Instagram handle and announced the news to his fans and followers by releasing a statement. The statement reads as- ‘The time has come- for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse and my life. After absorbing all the love and feedback on Part One… I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three- which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than part one. I have decided that we are going to make the two films … Together! Allowing them to also release closer together!’
Yes, what you saw is right! Ayan Mukerji decided to direct Part- II, and Part III together. From the post, we can expect the Brahmastra Part Two: Dev in December 2026 whereas the Brahmastra Part Three will grace the theaters in December of 2027.
Apart from Brahmastra Sequels, Ayan Mukerji will also direct another film. Announcing this mysterious project, Ayan further wrote- ‘I also have another piece of news to share… The universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently – a very special movie – to step into and direct! What the movie is… More on that when the time is right. An opportunity that challenges me and terribly excites me… one where I will learn, be inspired and where I will grow. So, I have decided to take it up!!’
Although, Ayan hasn’t specifically mentioned anything about this new project. But the trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handles and stated that this new mysterious project of Ayan is none other than the sequel of Hrithik Roshan’s War.
If this turns out to be true, fans can expect a double dhamaka from Ayan Mukerji with a spy thriller on one hand and a fantasy action adventure on the other.
