Megastar Chiranjeevi and renowned producer Ashwini Dutt have delivered numerous blockbuster films together. Among their collaborations, “Indra” and “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” stand out as industry hits. To celebrate Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22, the makers re-released his iconic film ‘Indra’, 22 years after its original release.
To celebrate the success of ‘Indra’, Megastar Chiranjeevi invited and felicitated the film’s core team, including producer Ashwini Dutt, music composer Mani Sharma, director B. Gopal, writers Paruchuri brothers, Chinni Krishna, and others, at his Hyderabad residence.
While conversing, music director Mani Sharma proposed that Boss should do ‘Indra 2’. Producer Ashwini Dutt affirmed that the highly anticipated sequels to ‘Indra’ and ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ are indeed on the horizon. He announced that he is planning to bring these sequels to life soon.
It is well known that in an interview, Chiranjeevi shared his wish to do a sequel to his film ‘JVAS’ with his son Ram Charan and Sri Devi’s eldest daughter Janhvi Kapoor as the main leads, reprising the roles portrayed by him and Sridevi.
Rumors have long circulated since then that Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor might take on Chiranjeevi and Sridevi’s iconic roles in ‘JVAS’, and there’s also talk that Nag Ashwin, the visionary behind the mythological sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, would direct this sequel. However, official confirmation has not yet been made by the filmmakers, leaving fans eagerly anticipating any updates on the project.
