Political tensions in Hyderabad have intensified amid the Lok Sabha elections. The recent passing of former MP and notorious figure Mukhtar Ansari while serving a jail term in Uttar Pradesh has added fuel to the fire.
Hyderabad’s incumbent MP and AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi raised concerns on Monday, stating that he had received death threats if he visited Mukhtar Ansari’s family in Uttar Pradesh. Owaisi defiantly declared his resolve to persist, cautioning those issuing threats of bearing the consequences if any harm befell him.
With the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana scheduled for May 13, the BJP has set its sights on the Hyderabad MP seat. Dr. Madhavi Latha is the BJP’s candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, actively engaging with the electorate, particularly in the old city area. Latha’s strategy includes attending iftar parties to expand her influence within Hyderabad.
