Buzz is building around the possibility of the highly anticipated third installment of the cult classic romantic drama Arya. While speculation has been floating online for some time, recent reports hint that Arya 3 might finally be materializing but with a surprising twist.
Maverick director Sukumar’s debut film, ‘Arya,’ earned a cult classic status and played a major role in setting Allu Arjun on the way to stardom. Dil Raju produced the film, and Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad composed the soulful music.
The sequel, Arya 2, brought back the same core team but failed to live up to the high expectations set by the original. Since then, plans for a third part had been shelved until now.
Now, 15 years after the release of Arya 2, reports suggest that Arya 3 is officially in the pipeline. According to Telugu Cinema sources, Ashish Reddy, son of producer Sirish and known for films like Rowdy and Love Me: If You Dare, is being considered for the lead role. He is currently working on his next, Dethadi.
However, Sukumar will not return as director. Instead, he is set to co-produce the film and also be the screenplay writer. While Allu Arjun won’t be returning for this project, Devi Sri Prasad is expected to handle the music once again, promising another chart-topping album.
Dil Raju and Sirish are reportedly backing this project under their banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Stay tuned for more updates!
