Nag Ashwin’s Magnum Opus ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ garnered acclaim globally. Each character played by its brilliant cast has received high praise from both fans and celebrities alike.
Krishna Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Krishna, where the character’s face remains unseen yet his deeply impactful voice, notably dubbed by renowned actor Arjun Das, left a lasting impression on audiences with the film.
Arjun Das expressed his sincere gratitude in a heart touching note about dubbing for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The actor wrote, “Swapna called me a few weeks ago, asking if I could dub for Lord Krishna in Kalki. Initially hesitant, she mentioned two things that changed my mind: ‘You will be talking to Amitabh Bachchan’ and ‘Just trust us’. Being a lifelong fan of Bachchan Sir, I was unsure if I could match. Upon arriving in Hyderabad and hearing his dub, it took a while to sink in. All I could hear was his iconic dialogues playing in my head, and all my school days mimicking his dialogues. I took a few minutes to gather myself and started dubbing.”
Arjun thanked Nag Ashwin and Swapna for believing in him and being patient with him. He also thanked Vyjayanthi Movies, Swapna, Nag Ashwin, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika, Kamal Haasan, and everyone involved in the film for allowing him to be part of this magnum opus. He said, “It was an absolute honour & privilege to be a small part of your film.”
He continued, “As a little kid, I would have dreamt of saying dialogues to Bchchan Sir. Thank you team Kalki. That kid has a smile on his face for a lifetime.”
He concluded by saying, “Bachchan Sir, if anybody ever tells me “Mere paas building hai, propert hai, bank balance hai bungle hai, gaadi hai, kya hai tumhare paas??”I would proudly say “Mere pass Bachchan Sir ke saath ek dialogue hai.”
