Ap High Court orders CID to handover passport to NRI Yashasvi

Amaravati: On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh High Court directed the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to return the passport of Telugu Desam party leader Yashasvi Bodduluri, an NRI, which was confiscated during his detention at Hyderabad Airport on Saturday.

Yashasvi, residing in the US, was in India to visit his ailing mother and was detained on December 22 for allegedly criticizing AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on social media. He was released on December 23 and subsequently instructed to appear before CID officials in Tirupati on January 11, 2024.
