AP High Court gives green signal for Rajadhani Files movie release

Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has approved the release of the film ‘Rajdhani Files’ after examining the certificates issued by the censor board’s revising committee. The court has declined to extend the stay, noting that all certificates have been issued in compliance with regulations. However, the high court has postponed further proceedings, instructing the respondents to submit a counter.

Earlier, YSRCP state general secretary Lella Appireddy had petitioned the high court to revoke the certificate issued by the CBFC on December 18 of the previous year. The court heard the case on the 13th of this month and issued an interim order on Thursday, temporarily halting the film’s screening. Subsequently, revenue officials and police in Andhra Pradesh conducted raids on theaters screening the film and immediately halted its exhibition.
