Asserting her identity as YSR’s daughter, she stated that her father YS Rajashekar Reddy named her son after his father, YS Raja Reddy. Sharmila underscored that her worth is not determined by receiving favors, emphasizing her commitment to joining Congress to fulfill the aspirations of Rajasekhar Reddy.
Responding to allegations made by Konda Raghava Reddy, she challenged him to swear by his God and children if he genuinely made the claims about her discussing a padayatra with Bharti. Sharmila refuted accusations of engaging in illegal activities with her husband, highlighting her history of not seeking anything from her elder brother, Jagan, and suggesting that doubters inquire with her mother for verification.
