AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to Meet With CS and DGP

Sunday, December 22, 2024

Chandrababu Naidu, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is initiating significant administrative changes in his governance. He is set to meet with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to discuss the appointment of key positions to competent officers who adhere to regulations. This move follows his decision to replace officers inactive during the YSRCP regime, such as Praveen Prakash, Sashi Bhushan, Ajay Jain, Sri Lakshmi, Gopala Krishna Dwivedi, and Muralidhar Reddy, directing them to report to the General Administration Department (GAD). His strategy includes removing officers who supported the previous government and prioritizing those who followed the rules, as evidenced by the recent replacement of the TTD EO.

In his effort to cleanse the administration, Chandrababu is focusing on significant transfers and reassignments across various departments. He aims to signal to IAS and IPS officers that adherence to regulations will be rewarded while those who acted against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the previous government will face consequences. The meeting scheduled for today will address necessary departmental changes and governance strategies, with a focus on filling key positions with capable officers. This overhaul is expected to result in a substantial number of transfers and reassignments, underscoring Chandrababu’s commitment to restructuring the administration effectively.
