Andhra Pradesh BJP chief and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari expressed her satisfaction with the formation of the Union Cabinet, noting that it included proper representation from Andhra Pradesh, with three individuals being given ministerial berths.
Narasapuram MP Bhupathiraju highlighted the inclusion of Srinivasa Varma in the cabinet, stating, “From identifying and giving a ticket to a hardworking activist to inducting him into the Union Cabinet today, it is a moment of great pride for every BJP worker.”
“We contested as an alliance in AP, and the TDP provided two names who were inducted into the cabinet. Additionally, Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, a dedicated BJP worker since the beginning, has also been included. Those who have now become union ministers from AP will focus on the state’s development and securing funds for AP,” Purandeswari said.
She emphasized the importance of a “double-engine” government for development, noting that with both the NDA at the Centre and in the state, there is a significant opportunity to address the neglect of the past five years and bring in substantial resources for welfare programs.
When asked about the possibility of her being appointed as the Lok Sabha Speaker, Purandeswari responded with a silent gesture, folding her hands and smiling in a “namaskar” as she walked away.
