Ghati, the latest film starring Anushka Shetty in a pivotal role, is set for its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 26, less than a month after its theatrical release. Directed by Krish and produced under the First Frame banner, the film hit theatres on September 5 but failed to deliver the expected box office performance.
The film also marks Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu’s direct Telugu debut, with Jagapathi Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Chaitanya Rao, and Ravindra Vijay playing key roles. With music composed by Vidyasagar, Ghati will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages on the OTT platform.
The story follows the Naidu brothers, who are involved in illegal cannabis smuggling. Sheelavathi and Desiraju, working as “ghatis” (carriers), decide to abandon the illegal trade after realizing their wrongdoing. Their decision sets off a series of dramatic events that shape the core of the film’s narrative.
