The Rentachintala police have registered an attempt to murder case against YSRCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy. On May 13, during the polling for the AP Assembly elections, Pinnelli was allegedly vandalizing an EVM at a polling station at Palvai Gate. TDP agent Namburi Seshagiri Rao intervened to stop him. However, Pinnelli later lodged a complaint with the police, alleging that he was assaulted by Namburi. Based on Namburi’s complaint, the Rentachintala police have registered a case against Pinnelli under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
