Dialogue writer turned director Anil Ravipudi has the habit of dabbling with mass masala entertainers. His films Pataas, Supreme, and Raja The Great catered well to the mass audience because they are packed with a good dose of commercial elements. Slapstick comedies F2 and F3 also managed to woo mass audiences. He tried to join the top league of directors with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru but couldn’t reach his goal as the film saw only moderate box office success and there was not great to rave about his direction in it.
Now, Ravipudi is aiming big again with his next film which stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. NBK is in the best phase of his career right now. He scored a big hit with Akhanda and also has had a successful stint as a host for the ‘Unstoppable’ talk show. Ravipudi has readied another mass entertainer with family sentiment. He wants to showcase the funny side of Balakrishna for the first time after many years. Reportedly, the film is going to have a good dose of comedy and action. Balakrishna is said to be having an entertaining role that will bring his comedy timing to the fore.
Anil Ravipudi locked the correct actor who could justify his script. He has a good chance to score a big hit at the box office if he can utilize Balakrishna’s energy levels to the core and bring the best comedy from him.
The formal launch of this untitled film took place this Thursday in Hyderabad. Sree Leela is playing a significant role and Priyanka Jawalkar is the leading lady in this film.
