In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Big B has mentioned that he is eagerly anticipating Kalki 2 and assured that he will start working on it soon after finishing off the ongoing season of the game show. Big B was absolutely thrilled with the project and also praised the vision of Nag Ashwin while throwing hints of the visually resplendent follow-up to the saga.
From his statement, it seems that Kalki 2 will go on the floors again by June or July. Earlier, producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt had stated that almost 30% of the film had already been shot, and major action sequences and heavy VFX work were still ongoing.
If all goes well, the production team plans to finish filming in 2025, with a theatrical release in the latter half of the year. With anticipation building up, rumors of new characters and shocking plot turns in Kalki 2 continue to keep fans interested, making it one of the most eagerly awaited films next year.
