Amaravati: At a public gathering in Dharmavaram, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amith Shah declared the formation of a coalition comprising the BJP, TDP, and Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at uprooting corruption and disorder from the state’s governance. Amith Shah’s visit was framed as a show of solidarity with the ongoing anti-corruption efforts. Beginning with tributes to Hindupur and Satya Sai Baba, he greeted TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu and other dignitaries before delving into the coalition’s objectives and electoral ambitions.
Amith Shah outlined the coalition’s primary objectives, including the eradication of corruption and criminality, the reinstatement of Amaravati as the state capital, the protection of Lord Venkateswara’s sanctity, and the preservation of the Telugu language. Criticizing the Jagan Reddy government’s alleged negligence towards Telugu, he assured the BJP’s commitment to its preservation. Amith Shah also emphasized the significance of the Polavaram project for the state’s development, attributing its national status to the BJP and promising swift completion under a BJP-led government, while accusing the Jagan administration of impeding progress through corruption.
