Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has decided to part ways with the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh, just 10 days after joining the political arena. Rayudu attributed his exit to his continued commitment to cricket, specifically the impending season of the Indian League T20 (ILT20) set to take place in Dubai.
In a post on X, Rayudu explained that the ILT20 rules prohibit active politicians from participating as players, prompting his abrupt departure from the YSRCP. In his announcement on X, Rayudu stated, “I, Ambati Rayudu, will be representing the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILt20 from January 20 in Dubai, which requires me to be politically non-affiliated while playing professional sports.”
