Live: Ambati Rambabu’s Press Meet on Polavaram

In a press conference today, former Minister of Water Resources Ambati Rambabu responded to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s recent criticism during his visit to the Polavaram project. Naidu had blamed Jagan Mohan Reddy for the project’s issues, but Rambabu refuted these claims, accusing the yellow media of spreading false narratives. He insisted that the real traitor to Polavaram is Chandrababu Naidu, who failed to fulfill his promise of completing the project by 2018 and allegedly tried to profit from it. Rambabu highlighted that significant progress on Polavaram was made only under Jagan’s administration.

Rambabu explained that under YSRCP governance, crucial structures like cofferdams and spillways were constructed, while Chandrababu had abandoned the project. He clarified that the damage to the project was due to the altered construction sequence, not Jagan’s administration. Rambabu emphasized the importance of the public knowing the truth and held Chandrababu responsible for the delays in the Polavaram project.
