Former MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan, a prominent figure in the combined Prakasam district, resigned from the YSRCP, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s decisions. He expressed disappointment with not being given the Chirala ticket for the upcoming election, which was instead allotted to Karnam Venkatesh.
Additionally, the party assigned the Parchur constituency ticket to Yedam Balaji, further fueling Amanchi’s frustration. After discussions with supporters, he decided to part ways with the YSRCP. Amanchi announced plans to reveal his next steps publicly on April 9. There are speculations that he might join the Congress party and contest from Chirala.
