Actress Amala Paul has revisited her controversial nude scene from the 2019 Tamil film Aadai (released in Telugu as Aame), stating that she had to mentally prepare herself in a unique way to perform the challenging sequence.
In a recent interview, Amala revealed that during the shoot, she was surrounded by approximately 15 male crew members. “To be able to perform the scene, I imagined all of them as my husbands. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to do it,” she stated. The actress added that she was informed in advance about the requirement to appear completely nude for the scene.
“The day we shot the scene, I was under immense pressure. I was anxious to know who would be on set and whether there would be adequate security. Eventually, only 15 people, including the cameraman and light boys, were allowed,” she said.
Amala Paul’s bold performance in Aadai had created significant buzz upon release, and her latest comments have reignited discussions around the psychological and emotional demands actors face while filming intense roles.
