Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s father-in-law, Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, who is also a leader of the BRS, made headlines on Friday as he officially joined the Congress party. Draping a scarf over his hand, he signified his allegiance in the presence of Deepa Das Munshi, the Congress party’s Telangana in-charge. Accompanying him, several other BRS leaders also embraced the Congress, having been personally invited by Deepa Das Munshi.
Adding to the momentum, Vikarabad ZP chairperson Patnam Sunitha Mahender Reddy, accompanied by her husband Mahender Reddy, pledged their support to the Congress. Former GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan was also present at the event, symbolizing a growing influx of leaders into the party since its recent ascent to power. Notably, Patancheru constituency leader Neelam Madhu Mudiraj made a significant move by resigning from the BSP and formally joining the Congress just yesterday.
