Allu Arjun Gets Big Relief From AP High Court

Wednesday, November 6, 2024

Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s controversial visit to Nandyal constituency to support his close friend and YSRCP ex-MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy before the assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh had several ramifications. His unwarranted decision appeared to have hurt him both personally and professionally.

Besides triggering the emotions of Mega family supporters due to Pawan Kalyan’s political affiliations, Bunny’s move also pushed him into a legal trouble because an FIR was filed under relevant sections for disobeying an order by a public servant, thereby causing the danger of riot. It also accused Arjun and Shilpa Ravichandra of violating the Election Code and sections of the Andhra Pradesh Police Act by assembling a large crowd at an election event without proper permission.

So, Allu Arjun and Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, seeking to quash a case filed against them in Nandyal. They filed the petition to invalidate the FIR registered on May 11, 2024. The High Court accepted their petition last month and posted the matter.

Now, the High Court has ordered to quash the petition filed by police to lodge an FIR against the actor and his friend as it felt that there was no violation of code of conduct during the elections. The judgement was pronounced just a while ago and this will be a big relief for Allu Arjun and his friend Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy.

It may be recalled that Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy went to Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy’s house in Nandyal and appealed to the voters to support the YSRCP ex-MLA. However, Shilpa Ravi Chandra lost the elections with a huge margin.
