Popular Telugu star Allu Arjun has been embroiled in a controversy following the death of a woman due to stampede on the release date of his latest film Pushpa 2. It was alleged that the presence of the Pushpa team including Allu Arjun at the theatre was the primary reason for the hapless incident that took the life of a woman and also left his two children injured. On Friday he was arrested on several charges and was subsequently released on mail.
Meanwhile, there has been a lot of criticism aimed at Bunny for not visiting the bereaved family. As one kid was seriously injured in the stampede, he is currently getting treated in a private hospital in Hyderabad. The hero didn’t even visit the hospital to express his concern towards the kid. This has led to a lot of public anger even after Bunny announced 25 lakhs ex-gratia for the victim’s family.
After getting released from jail on bail, Bunny has got widespread support from his colleagues in the film industry. Many have reached his residence and expressed solidarity with him on the legal case. Numerous videos in which Bunny was seen hugging his friends and family members came out in the last two days. He even went to Megastar Chiranjeevi’s residence and later met Nagababu.
Looking at Allu Arjun’s exaggerated publicity after release from jail, general public have criticised that he didn’t got the time to visit the kid in the hospital, but has the time to greet and meet his friends and family members.
In order to subdue the criticism, Allu Arjun came up with a post on X platform in which he expressed deep concern for the kid who was under intensive care. He said he couldn’t visit the hospital to meet the victim due to the ongoing legal proceedings. He promised to look after the medical expenses and family needs and also wished speedy recovery.
While Bunny’s gesture towards the family deserves commendation, his excuse for not visiting came under intense scrutiny once again as many are of the opinion that he should have visited the family and the kid prior to his arrest immediately when the incident came to light.
As the unfortunate incident happened on December 5th, Bunny should have reached out to the family in the next couple of days and extended them complete moral support. Even though Allu Arjun cannot be blamed for the unforseen incident, the first thing he could have done was to visit the family which would have ended the entire controversy.
But, Bunny ignored the sensitivity of the issue and remained silent in the first two days. He later announced the financial help to the family and released a video. Now, his latest post further triggered the emotions of common people.
